Studio Is Currently Closed

I am away to Richmond, Virginia to give a lecture and a workshop at Virginia Commonwealth University. I also have some other matters to take care of outside of my studio, so I won’t be back into the studio till October 1st. I will be checking my e-mail occasionally. Thank you!

TWO NEW GOOD BOOKS!

I spoke about designer Mike Perry‘s new book OVER & OVER earlier. I finally posted my feature pages. It is just a beautiful little book. Great gift idea for those with really good taste, and just a wonderful source of inspirations for artists. I LOVE IT!

Thank you Mike. We will meet in person soon.

Also, Hong Kong’s Victionary came out with yet another nicely designed project, MUSIKRAPHICS. This book has lots of interesting Chinese and Japanese music graphics we usually don’t have easy access to. It is so fun to look at! Thank you everyone at Victionary, as always..

Also added a few other older missing press in PRESS SECTION.

PARALYMPICS HAS BEGUN

Paralympic Games has started in Beijing without much of a buzz like its’ world famous ‘sister’. I changed the main page illo with a new ad for Apotheke (German pharmacy) who is an official sponsor for the event. It is an illustrated version of a really cool short commercial film of Heinrich Popow, a German amputee athlete. agency: Zum goldenen Hirschen Berlin GmbH, and my friend and calligrapher Ai Tatebayashi created a beautiful Chinese writing on the ad. Thank you Ai!There is a news in German media about this campaign for those who are interested and read German
