IS YUKO BECOMING A BLOGGER??

The answer is NO. But, Zolton of Lost At E Minor was kind enough to let me be a guest editor this week, and let me talk about what music, art, design and culture I want to share with LAEM readers. You can read my archive here. A few more posting coming up, I think. (Yes, I finally got to talk about my 30 years of The Police obsession!)

SPECIAL PROJECTS SECTION IS NOW OPEN

There are odd projects I do here and there that are not exactly illustration or fine art. Set design is one of them, custom painting a Dunny is another. (I still get inquiries about Interview Magazine fashion shoot I did in 2004.)So, I opened a new section of all that. It is still under construction, but at least it is live now.

SOME SITE UPDATES

I am back to website overhaul. A little by little…

1) “Show section” added to the site
Now you can see show info at a glance here.
A traveling show in Italy opens tomorrow. IF you are in Napoli, please go stop by. I’ve heard Egg’s Castle is quite a remarkable place. Unfortunately I won’t be able to attend the opening, I am currently getting ready for SVA Gallery show in September.

2) Added side navi bar to this news section, so browsing through archive is easier.

3) new home page look, and also added a few more buttons on the top navi bar so I can start adding more sections. Please stay tuned…

NEWS FROM UK, TURKEY, FRANCE & CHINA

If you are in UK, please pick up a copy of The Word, a music magazine for grown-ups. Since its redesign of June issue, monthly supplement CD has my illustration on the cover (confirmed up to August issue). The redesign was done by one and only Matthew Ball, who has been extra supportive of my work since he first hired me for Rolling Stone Magazineabout 4 years ago. Thank you Matthew! (And I will come visit you in Scotland soooooon.)My first illustration in Turkey has appeared on the cover of Photoshop Magazin (June issue) thanks to kindness of Sedef An.

In France, also for the first time, my illustration will be on the cover of Estapes: International, a magazine dedicated to art and design. The issue will come out in France and world-wide at the end of June. Thank you Céline.
