LITTLE BROTHER – A NEW BOOK COVER
Irene Gallo of Tor Booksis one of my favorite art directors to work with. It is not that I asked her directly, but from my work experiencs, I believe she thinks one of the most important part of art directing an illustrator is actually to pick the right illustrator for the right job. I know a few art directors like her. So, once I get picked, she is never fussy or picky about what I do. This is when we (illustrators) do our best job, I think. It is always nice to be trusted and given freedom because of the trust.Anyways, I just recently finished a project with her for this book cover Little Brother by Cory Doctorow. Irene just posted an interesting behind-the-scene story of designing the cover. Also Cory himself posted a really kind comment on the cover as well. Thanks to you both, and everyone who was involved in designing the book.
Little Brother will be out in Spring.
ILLUSIVE 2 WILL BE OUT SOON
Marcos and I are excited about being featured in ILLUSIVE 2 which is already out in Europe and will be out soon in the US. A big thanks goes to Henni of Die Gestalten!

In Canada, please check out upscale department store Holts Renfrew‘s fall men’s fashion catalog. There is a section about space travel which I illustrated for.Thank you Concrete Design for a fun project and great design.
More illustrations will be posted very soon. Sorry! I know I keep saying this.. I am just completely swamped right now, but I will post more, maybe little by little. Please stay tuned.

Congratulations to Taiwanese Magazine dpifor their issue #100. There is an eight page Yuko interview article both in English and in Chinese. Special thank you goes to editor Sasha Weng.Also, 3×3 article got reprinted in CQ Journal Summer issue. I actually haven’t seen the issue yet.

The answer is NO. But, Zolton of Lost At E Minor was kind enough to let me be a guest editor this week, and let me talk about what music, art, design and culture I want to share with LAEM readers. You can read my archive here. A few more posting coming up, I think. (Yes, I finally got to talk about my 30 years of The Police obsession!)
