Also, I am going back to Venice in March 2009 to judge an international illustration competition organized by the same Teatrio. They will announce the details soon. I will post here once it becomes official. Please stay tuned.

YUKO IS BACK TO THE STUDIO

I finished teaching a week-long workshop in Venice, Italy, and just got back to New York City.

It was such a nice experience with all the motivated illustrators from all over Italy, Spain, and some even from Canada and Korea. Big thank you to everyone who participated, and to the organizer Teatrio. Hope to do it again in future.

I will post some photos from the workshop soon.

FUSE TV POSTER CAMPAIGN UPDATES

Hi, hope everyone is having a nice summer (if you are in Northern Hemisphere)!I know, I haven’t been updating my site much since I got back from Germany. I am flying over the pond again back to Venice for a workshop in less than a month, so I have so much to catch up. I have just been working ,working ,working.

Before I took off to Germany in June, there was a big party to launch this new FUSE ad campaign. I posted some photos.

And, thank you for those people who have been kindly sending me photos and info of my FUSE poster sightings in New York subway stations. Although I live here, I have actually not bumped into one yet myself. Bummer.

ANNOUNCING: VENICE ILLUSTRATION WORKSHOP

Memorial Day is over, that means; summer is officially here!! (sorry to non-US residents who have no idea what I am talking about.)Aspiring illustrators, what are you planning on doing this summer? If you don’t have a plan yet, how about spending a week with me in Venice, one of the most beautiful cities in the world (no joke, I was just there recently), and work on (your) illustrations together, talk about art, and even go to the famous Peggy Guggenheim Museum with Yuko as your guide?

I am honored to announce a week-long illustration workshop in Venice, Italy this summer organized by Associazione Culturale Teatrio. Teatrio has curated wonderful Fabulous Coloured Pencils show which I took part in.

It will be a very intimate workshop with maximum of 20 students, probably from different parts of the world.

I will try to teach according to each participant’s level, experiences and goal-settings. So, it will be custom made just for YOU!

Venice is one of the most beautiful cities in the world. I am sure you will be inspired by this environment as well as the workshop itself.
